Tour Plan :

Day 1
Arrival at Bagdogra and Transfer to Phuentsholing

(Approx. 170 km | 3-4 hrs) Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, begin your journey towards Phuentsholing, the Indo-Bhutan border town. The drive takes around 3 to 4 hours through lush tea gardens and foothills of the Eastern Himalayas. After reaching Phuentsholing, check into your hotel. Later, evening walk local attractions like the Zangto Pelri Lhakhang Temple, a beautiful replica of the celestial abode of Guru Rinpoche, and visit the Phuentsholing Market for local crafts. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 2
Phuentsholing To Thimphu

(Approx. 160 km | 5–6 hrs) After breakfast and completion of immigration formalities , begin your drive to Thimphu. En route, stop at the Chuzom Bridge, the confluence of the Paro and Thimphu rivers. Visit the Kharbandi Goenpa, a beautiful monastery offering panoramic views. Along the way, stop at scenic spots like Wankha Waterfalls . On arrival in Thimphu, check into your hotel . Spend the evening at the Clock Tower Square, the vibrant heart of Thimphu’s social life. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 4
Day Excursion to Punakha from Thimphu

(Approx. 75 km | 2.5 hrs one way) Start early and drive to Punakha. On the way, stop at Dochula Pass (3,150 m) for spectacular Himalayan views and 108 memorial chortens.. In Punakha, tour the Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most stunning fortresses. Walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge, and visit the Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple),known for blessings related to fertility and childbirth. Time permitting, explore the Punakha Rice Fields, which paint a beautiful patchwork of green during the growing season. Return to Thimphu for the night. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 5
Thimphu Sightseeing and Transfer to Paro

(Approx. 50 km | 1.5 hrs) Begin with a visit to the National Memorial Chorten, a revered stupa in Thimphu. Then head to the Buddha Dordenma Statue, a gigantic golden Buddha offering breathtaking views of the valley. Stop by the Royal Takin Preserve to see Bhutan’s national animal. Visit the Simply Bhutan Museum for an immersive cultural experience with traditional attire, crafts, and archery demonstrations. Before leaving Thimphu, visit Folk Heritage Museum for insights into traditional rural life And Thimphu Dzong. After that , drive to Paro. Upon arrival. Check into your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 6
Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang)

After breakfast, embark on a half-day hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang) perched dramatically on a cliff. This sacred site offers stunning spiritual energy and panoramic views. Horses are available for hire if needed. After the trek, relax with an optional traditional hot stone bath. En route , visit the Drukgyel Dzong , an ancient fortress and former defense outpost, the Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan on your return. Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 7
Paro Sightseeing and Transfer to Phuentsholing

Spend the morning visiting Rinpung Dzong, a magnificent fortress with elaborate Bhutanese architecture. Stop at the Paro Airport Viewpoint to watch the dramatic landings and take-offs of one of the world’s most challenging airports. Visit the National Museum (Ta Dzong) to explore Bhutanese art and history. After sightseeing, drive back to Phuentsholing (approx. 148 km, 4.5 hours). Check into your hotel and enjoy a calm evening in the border town. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 8
Drive from Phuentsholing to Bagdogra

(Approx. 170 km | 3–4hrs) After breakfast, check out and drive back to Bagdogra through scenic North Bengal landscapes. Arrive by late afternoon or evening for onward travel, carrying unforgettable memories of Bhutan.
